When I thought of writing this book; when the idea came that I should help others to write books as fast as they can, I wanted to know how fast I could put this book together. I did it in exactly two weeks save the week of editing by my editors. Now I am very sure that one can write a book in 3 weeks or even less if they have access to a good editor or if they can do good editing themselves. Remember even when you are a good editor; you need another eye to look through your book.

Of course, like most writers, I first fought with the idea of whether I should write or not. I thought many people already knew this information and I didn't need to put it together. When I talked to a few friends about it, I actually realized, most of them did not. I thus confirmed that many people actually needed this information.

Why I wrote this book

Why I wrote this book

My intentions for writing this book are so you can;

➢Get your book done. I.e. put your ideas in a book because there are millions of people who need them. Additionally, many people have books in their heads but because of many reasons I expose in this book, they never write. My desire is that you overcome them if they are there.

➢Write your own book in the shortest time possible.

➢Self-publish your book without feeling the discouragement of being rejected by a publishing house.

➢Go ahead and create other products from your book so that you will have as many sources of passive income as possible.

Can you also write?

Can you also write?

Ientered my room very excited to tell my roommate about the book I was going to write. I enthusiastically narrated the story my book would tell. My friend listened intently. I could tell her interest in the story was growing. At the end of the story she looked me in the eye, and as if fighting to find the right words, she said: “You are a happy girl, why would you write such a sad story! No one will read it!” I froze.

For a long time, I had had the desire to share what I felt with the world, to be an author, to have my writing transform the lives of those whom I knew and those I did not know just like many writers’ ideas had profoundly touched my life. Every time I thought about writing, I felt excited, thrilled and frightened all at once. I kept shelving the idea because after all no one knew me… all the writers I knew about were famous people. I was simply known by the circle of my friends and relatives. That day, my friend’s statement stamped my doubts about myself as true and unquestionable. She confirmed that I could never write an interesting book and no one could ever be interested in reading my stories or anything else I wrote.

Therefore, there was no need to write or even think of ever writing. I completely and comfortably erased the idea from my mind. After all; did I have to first be a writer to be a good teacher? Not really! So, I convinced myself.

5 years after that incident, as a teacher of English language and literature, I found myself between a rock and a hard place. The teaching syllabus of the English Language in my country changed. I was teaching students who had just a few months to do their national examination. I needed to prepare them to excel in this exam like other previous years had done, as was the school norm. I started searching for the material to use to teach but what was available was scattered in several textbooks. Students as well as parents were asking me for a book which they could buy to help with their study but I had no particular title to give them. My response was always a list of titles followed by an explanation. The same was the question from my school administrators. I gave them a list of what references might be helpful. I remember one of them asking me “As an experienced teacher, why can’t you pick one that we can buy for our students? Buying all these books is going to be too costly”.

I wished I could give a better answer at the time but unfortunately, I had none. One day as I was trying to prepare for a lesson, with all those books on my table, my husband entered; “This is a real forest of books!” And he lightly added, “Please be careful not to get lost in that forest”.

We both laughed and he left the room. Soon after he had left, a strong thought like a flash of lightening crossed my mind. “Why don’t you collect all the information and avail it to your students at once in a hand-out?” It sounded a good idea.

In that moment another idea hit. “Oh, not a hand-out; A book! Yes, a book” I shouted. “I could put all that information in one single book, which would be used not only by my students but by other students in other schools, as well as other teachers.” This new idea was making me pant with excitement. I could not keep it to myself.

Exhilarated, I rushed out of the room, headed to where my husband was to tell him I was going to write a book. I had actually found a way out of the ‘forest’. He asked me what it took to write a book. “I don’t know” was my answer. Before he could say anything more, I quickly added “I’ll find out.”

That moment my writing desire was rebirthed and my writing journey started. I felt unstoppable! And I was! 8 months later, my first book was in the market! And man, it sold like a hot cake!

4 years after its release, it won me an Award; Best book of the year 2019! The one who thought could never write had written the most helpful and most used book of the year. An award-winning author, I had become!

The story keeps going.
