Foreword

Foreword

I want to commend my dear friend and fellow minister for this contribution to making known the history of the great moving of God through the ministry of His True Generals. This book will show you the strengths and the weaknesses.

It is clear that this is not the work of a man but of the Holy Spirit of the living God. It will show you that it is not what we are, or what we possess in ourselves that God is depending on, but what He can make of us!

As you read this most inspiring book, you will be stirred to remember that the God of Elijah is your God- Just as He was the God of His other past Generals. So take your Bible now and read Hebrews11:1-12:2 before you embark on this historic journey, and you will see that “all truth is parallel.”

God has always had His Generals- “for many are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew22:14), God would not have us to forget this as we see many new Generals emerging on the battlefields today: so always let us look to “Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” (hebrews12:2)

This literary work is destined to be a spiritual classic. It will show you that even the smallest, seemingly insignificant person can be used by God. Baptiste’s commentary is powerful and practical and will leave you with great hope to succeed.

Preface

Preface

I have always had a hunger to understand the calls of great men and women of God. I saw my spiritual hunger develop in two ways.

First, as a very young boy, my interest grew because my soul father told me so many stories about great ministers and their camp meetings, of which he had been a part. His descriptions were lively and with almost every story, he would have a lesson to preach.

Second, when I was 28 years old, the Lord told me that this intensive study would be an important part of his training for the ministry.

Immediately after that visitation from the Lord, I began to study, in my mind, there was already an atmosphere conducive to study. I spent years pursuing my education while the children were growing up, and I had a well-developed.

The combination of my soul father‘s influence and my diligence to study seemed to impart what I needed for that hour. I remember many nights and evenings when each of us would close a job, I asked many questions to feed my spiritual hunger, share different books, and read the Bible.

I began to dig into Bible and every book, I could find that had to do with a move of God. l came upon a name in the book, I would research everything, I could about that person. If in my research discovered that the person had died, I searched until I found the closest living relative or friend.

God’s favour on me, my life was so evident. I would always be granted interviews with these people and inevitably was able to develop personal relationships with them. these people seemed to give me whatever I asked for, whether it was artefacts, pictures, or books.

There never seemed to be any fear or inhibitions about my pursuits. The more I studied, the more the doors would open to me. I was obeying God, so the doors had to open. When other people who were pursuing the same end as I would hear of the success that I had in obtaining materials they would ask, “How did you get these things”? I would answer simply.” I just asked.”
