INTRODUCTION:THE ALWAYS PEACEFUL COUNTRY“Every citizen of this country enjoys peace!”

As the first rays of sunlight crested over the horizon, the city below slowly came to life. The once quiet streets were now bustling with life as people rushed to work, their steps quickening with purpose. Rachel strolled through the throngs of people, a sense of contentment washing over her with each step.

She had lived in this metropolis for nearly her entire life and had grown so used to the peace and prosperity that she often took it for granted. But on this particular morning, something was different. The sounds of laughter and chatter filled the air, and the smell of fresh coffee and pastries wafted from cafes. People were out and about, chatting with friends and neighbors, exchanging greetings and good mornings.

Rachel couldn’t help but feel grateful for the life she lived. The sense of community was noticeable, and it made her heart swell with joy. She had never appreciated the beauty of this city as much as she did this morning. As she walked down the bustling streets, she couldn’t help but smile at the people around her, all of them united in their pursuit of a better day.

The sun continued to rise, casting a warm glow over the city. Rachel took in a deep breath, savoring the energy and excitement of this place she called home. She was filled with a sense of pride, grateful for the life she lived in this vibrant, bustling city, surrounded by so much love and community.

She decided to call her old friend in another country, excited to share with her the joy and abundance that seemed to flow through every corner of the city.

“Hey, Jane, it’s Rachel,” she said as the phone connected. “How are things over there?”

“Oh, they’re fine,” Jane replied, her voice tinged with a hint of jealousy. “But I have to admit, I’m a little envious of the peace and prosperity you guys have over there. I see all these tourists coming and going, but they don’t seem to appreciate it as much as they should.”

Rachel nodded, understanding exactly what her friend meant. It was true, the city seemed to attract visitors from all over the world, drawn in by the towering skyscrapers, the unique peaceful natural tourist sites, and bustling streets. But they often seemed to overlook the sense of community and the daily joy that seemed to emanate from every person.

“It’s all thanks to our King,” Rachel explained, a sense of pride in her voice. “He’s the one who taught us the secret to living in peace and helping others do the same. And he’s sent people all over the world to share that message and bring a little bit of our peace to others.”

Jane was silent for a moment, taking in this information. “It’s hard to believe,” she said finally. “I remember hearing stories about this city from my grandparents. They talked about all the chaos and pain and poverty that used to plague this place. How did it all change so drastically?”

Rachel sighed, thinking back to the dark days of the city’s past. “It wasn’t easy,” she admitted. “But our King, many generations ago, was told that the solution to all the turmoil was to pay a very high price. The ultimate sacrifice, the life of his only son.”

Jane gasped in shock. “He did that?” she asked, disbelief in her voice.

Rachel nodded. “He did it willingly, out of love for his people. And three days later, his son came back to life. From that moment on, the city has been blessed with an almost unimaginable peace. A quality of life that many people can only dream of. And it’s not just for a select few either. Everyone who lives here has access to this peace and tranquility, no matter their past experiences.”

Jane was silent again, digesting this information. “Wow,” she said finally. “I had no idea. I always thought it was just a fairy tale.”

Rachel chuckled. “It’s real, Jane.

And to the reader:

“And if you ever desire to experience this kind of peace for yourself, all you have to do is read on and learn more about it.”

Dear reader:

Good news for you. The peace you crave is yours to enjoy, Someone has paid for it. It is available to you. Yes, you. Read on to find out how you can experience this peace that defies logic but is yours for the taking.

If there’s anything that disturbs growth in any form it is the absence of peace. Whether in a home or a country, a company or in an individual, where chaos exists, development, creativity, and anything good is difficult to thrive.

A man who is not at peace within cannot think straight to do anything worthwhile. A country or location at war cannot develop and grow. Peace, therefore, is the foundation for life, growth, and lasting development, both individually, collectively, and communally. Dare I say, more importantly, peace is the foundation to truly living life in its fullness. Peace is necessary to enjoy life as it is meant to be lived. Peace is God’s provision for living and fulfilling purpose. Its absence leads to confusion and aimlessness.

The peace or its absence, in the heart of an individual, spills over to his environment. Many are struggling with troubles within their hearts often not knowing what to do. Even the solution proffered by experts are not working, and at best are either transient or not dealing with the real issues bothering individuals.

This little devotional is written to give hope to you, to let you know that peace, lasting peace is possible for you. It is written to direct you to the true and only source of Peace which is Jesus Christ. It is meant to point you to Him who is Peace, and who is extending that peace to you.

Yes, true peace, the type that transforms is possible and available to you. It is written in a meditative way, certain parts are intentionally repeated for emphasis and to help you remember.

It is written in a way that focuses on getting answers from the Bible so that you get the twin benefit of not only knowing about the peace of God and its benefits, and hopefully experiencing it in a life-transforming manner. You also get to understand and appreciate how to study the Bible and gain from its life-changing truths.

Read, meditate with hope and expectation, and allow the peace of God to flood your spirit, soul, and body so you can be Always Peaceful.

It’s written to be read one chapter per day for one month. A 30-day devotional. Nevertheless, you may choose to read it through at a go. Then come back and digest it prayerfully, one day at a time.

“Now, may the Lord Himself, the Lord of peace, pour into you his peace in every circumstance and in every possible way. The Lord’s tangible presence be with you all.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (TPT)
