F ury enveloped him and with heavy steps he approached her menacingly.”I am not a violent person neither am I a man who hits women. But if you try this next time, I won’t hesitate to show you the tamed beast in me. I am done with you, Silver.” He retraced his steps to the door but her voice hindered him from moving forward, holding its knob he turned to her.

His face formed into a frown, his calloused fingers trembled slightly as he held the knob as if clinging to life. His brows furrowed, causing his eyes to squint in anger. Shooting her a fiery gaze he walked out of the house.

His steps felt heavy as anger boiled in him, its steam pouring out through his gaze. He inhaled deeply in order to shake off this feeling. Only God knows that he hates being upset.

Different thoughts circled his mind, he regretted having anything to do with her in the first place. Feeling hot, he tugged at his tie, shrugging out of his suit to reveal an immaculate white T-shirt. He could perceive the alluring scent of his cologne. flinging his suit over his shoulder he held it with his middle finger as he walked. Grabbing the door to the passenger seat, he entered, flinging his suit beside him and sitting heavily.

He remembered seeing her at a club with lean fingers clipping a stick of cigarette. Her beauty was what ticked him off, for she looked like a river goddess, in all beauty and majesty. But now what he feels for her is nothing but regret. Rubbing off his temple he leaned against the chair and closed his eyes.

MEMORIES

G olden spun sunlight reflected into my room, illuminating the atmosphere with streaks of light. I shielded my eyes from the warm rays while I yawned and stretched.

My eyes lazily darted round the room and settled on the wall clock, its endless tick tock reverberated through the room. Oops! It is nine thirty. How did I wake up this late? I flipped my phone to find the missed alarms notifications which made me sign in weakness.

Besides, I heard the alarm ring but must have ignored it. I quickly stood up and went into the bathroom, my disheveled hair reminded me of how fast I had grown into the woman that stood before the mirror. I knew that my everyday appointment would not have to wait so I hurriedly had my morning ritual.

The hot steaming bath was what felt suitable for me at the moment. I walked to my wardrobe to pick a dress. On opening it, I realized for the first time that I was lucky to have a full wardrobe.

I smiled at the realization and chose a black designer trousers with a gold-colored top with matching black and gold silhouette heels. Walking back to lay them on the bed, I noticed the stillness, the abject solitude which stood out in my home reminding me of my humdrum life. The boredom in my home seemed to get on my nerves. In order to feel alive a bit I moved to my audio set and switched it on.

The sweet tune of Celine Dion began to fill my ears, bringing a great melody. I nodded my head, standing on my toes I began to move each foot. I swirled around but not without trembling beneath. My hands waved in the thin air, my legs twirling around each other. My moves were definitely improving. The sacrifices I made for my ballet classes were beginning to pay off. I kept on dancing and dressing up at the same time that I didn't notice my phone ring. The light beeped again, ringing and vibrating which drew my attention. Cassandra, my good friend whom I call Cassy for short displayed on the screen.

“Hey babes what's up” I asked as I went to the audio set and reduced the volume.

“I am fine Bianca. Are you set?” She said
“Almost, give me few minutes, I will be there soon”

“How soon? Your client will be here and you are expected to be here before him. Babes you know the rules”

“I know the rules, Cassy.” I replied, rolling my eyes.

Typical of Cassy, always being too serious in everything even in love making. Sometimes I wonder if she would keep a man in all her seriousness. And speaking of that, I wondered if I would also get one to call my own let alone keeping one to do my makeup, and also take breakfast. Man must chop nau ” I said laughing…

“Abeg do, no time to waste .” she replied and hung up.

Feeling uninterested in the music, I switched off the audio set which stood before my TV set. I proceeded to put on my clothes which didn’t take much time to do. Sitting before my vanity mirror, I began applying my make over. Enhancing my beauty is one thing I always loved doing. With enough carefulness, I fixed my face in moderation. Knowing the last ritual for the day, I walked over to the kitchen half-dressed and began the preparations of my Bellefull Instant Noodles.

Noodles being my childhood lover seemed not to calm the loneliness, I felt within me. I hastened up with the preparations, got a fork from the kitchen counter and began eating it halfway to being ready. Mom had always chided me for this behavior, yet who cares? Finishing up, I went back to the room to rub off the beads of perspiration that rolled down my face while eating my noodles. Feeling satisfied, I picked up my black Gucci bag and walked out.

My car and house keys lay carelessly on the center table, thank goodness I found it, at least I would spend thirty minutes more searching for it which will only increase Cassy’s agitation. I sighed and picked them walking briskly out of the house.

Stepping into my garage, I briefly gazed at the fleet of cars with various models and colors. I contemplated what   car to use. I observed that my 2019 Benz had not been used for a long period of time and I decided to go for it.

The rich smell of an exotic car filled my nostrils, I inhaled deeply. It was about time to go drain the next pocket. I said to myself laughing at the thought of it, turning on the ignition I drove out.

While on the steering wheel, reminiscences of my childhood, displayed in my mind. Its beauty stolen  from me, ripped out of me like a torn page. Giving me a new wave of brutality, which has kept me going.

My mom, who was my source of hope, was crushed to death by a hit and run driver on her way to my school to beg the principal not to send me home for school fees.

It was the end of the world for me so I guessed. Despite my tender age I understood what death meant. Seeing my mom in her pool of blood filled me with devastation. Several eyes gazed at my small figure kneeling over my mom’s lifeless body sprawled on the ground, tears formed large patches on my yellow floral gown. I wailed, I screamed for help but none came forth. Instead, rejection followed me around sticking to my face like makeover. A man asked if he was the cause of my mother’s death. I walked home a hapless soul leaving my mom on the road.

Fortunately, my dad was home. Breaking the news to him felt like a thunderbolt, he wailed. He lamented. He rained curses on me, apportioning tons of blames on me for allowing my mum to die. Imagine! A father laying curses on   his daughter for a death she knows nothing about just because she was at the scene of her mother's death.

Finally, we managed to carry her home. That same night my mum was buried like a nobody. I sighed heavily as I switched lanes, my gaze still focused on the road despite the shades of memories running through my head. No school, no mother, not even a father's love to show me how to live in this cold world. He hated me and treated me with discord.

Surprisingly, my father married another woman who had a son who was two years older than myself. I cried my eyes out seeing her in our home wearing my mother's expensive clothes that she promised to give me on my traditional wedding day.

Her son was a rascal, he was mean to me, a cultist, a very deadly one as at that. And the worst thing is that he is one of the ugliest guys I have ever seen. A filthy son of a mad woman who is currently cooling his ass in Kiri Kiri prison for daring attempted rape. He thought I would forget. No one dares me - Bianca.

God! Life was hell, it threw hard punches at me almost making me crumble to the floor but I was able to rise, get stronger, wealthier and beautiful. I wine and dine with men who know what is happening...

I snapped out of my thoughts as I drove into a compound, which serves as our office.

Actually, it's Cassy's but it serves the purpose of which was intended.

TROPHY WIFE

H ello! I am Bianca” I said, offering him a handshake, he shook my hands firmly. “Bianca I am Chief James you are more beautiful than what I saw on ya profile.” He replied, with a huge igbo accent. As a professional Escort, a profile makes you look astounding with a professional picture and other vital details coupled with details of clients you have been with.

“Chief, I know quite well that I am beautiful, can we please get to the business of the day?” I asked. I know that I am beautiful and stunning too, so why tell me?

“Chief, the question is, are you loaded?” I asked him, shooting a seductive smile which he reciprocated by smacking his lips.

His laughter filled my ears, making me feel a little piqued. I would rather prefer to go down to business than undergo any form of preliminary investigation.

“Bianca my dear, I am more than loaded. Where would you like to go on vacation? Las Vegas, London, France, Paris, Europe name the country of ya choice but the main question is how hot are ya services going to be to me?”

“Indeed! This will not be a good one.” I said to myself. His hoarse voice sounded like a real hustler at Upper Iweka market. The thought of it made me give a secret smile.

“Chief, soon you will know that I am not an amateur.” I smiled at Cassy who gave me a secret thumbs up.

“Everything is ready for ya. Besides, I know ya type, very expensive and hot. So we are going to set a VVIP room.” He said. “Excellent! Perfect. Then I am ready too darling” I shot him a sexy smile.

Indeed! Not so perfect. I am not a cheap article and I don't give for free. I am sure you know there is power in between a woman's legs. My goal is to do what I have to do and ignore his accent totally.

“Bianca I am sure ya will  do me well, because I like it rough and hard. If things get hotter, I might make you not only my seventh wife but my trophy wife”. Cassy held in her laughter, knowing how hard it’d come out when we’re gone. See me see seventh wife. Who wants to be a seventh wife in this twenty-first century? And not only that his accent is terrible. His spoken words sucks. How was he able to woo his three wives?

This man is just so annoying and I will make him pay, I always know how to make my clients beg for more or keep running to me for more.

“Let's roll sweetheart.” I said smiling, we stood up as I bade Cassy goodbye. She laughed and waved at me as the Chief opened the door of his Rolls Royce. He sure is loaded.

I am ready to milk a cow's account with my professional skills.

LADIES' MAN

S tepping into my home was a huge relief for me because exhaustion overwhelmed my every being.

Loneliness surrounded my home, dropping hot tones of nothingness, leaving only the clicking of my silhouette heels. Dropping my shopping bags heavily on the floor, I walked straight to the kitchen which stood elegantly with a U-shape design. Its immaculate white decorations made me feel at peace most times. I quickly placed a pot over the gas fire, Chief James flashed into my mind and his funny words made me laugh. I said I would milk his account and it happened. He wasn't all that bad but he kept crying for more.

I made him moan in great ecstasy. Laughter escaped more from my lips on remembering how he kept screaming in pleasure. Mtcheww! He even promised to buy the whole of Nigeria for me.

There is a saying that one should never believe the words of a naked man she’s in bed with. That’s because they can promise to give you the world. He took me shopping and sent me the whooping sum of five hundred thousand naira. That's a good one for a start.

I watched my food get ready slowly, finally satisfied with how well cooked it. The aroma filled my stomach, making me scoop it out and begin to eat with so much relish. Hey! I am a fan of noodles and eggs. I can do it for a whole   year without taking anything else. It's high time I got myself a maid, maybe I can talk to Cassy about it...

My phone began to ring, interrupting my thoughts. It was Cassy calling. “Hy babes, how far?” I asked.

“So you no fit call person abi ?” She said in pidgin.

“No vex nau, it's not been long since I came in. Today is a good day, business was great too” I said "At least you go give me a small share inside abi?”

“Why not! I will bring it along tomorrow. Who is my next client?”

“Let me see... Oh! My God! Bianca you are meeting with Steve Davis, the billionaire single guy who is every ladies man.” She said as I could hear a tinge of excitement in her voice.

“And so? I do my job and he pays for my service, that’s all. No sweats. I am not interested in him.” I replied nonchalantly.

“Then, can you give him to me? I love guys like that. Men with fat wallets.” She said laughing.

I laughed too. This girl's naughtiness makes me always want to do more business with her too.

“Okay, miss - I - love billionaires, I was at lunch before you called. Can we talk later?”

“Sure foodie, take care.” She said laughing and hung up.

Steve Davis a billionaire. Hmm! let's see how things will turn out to be.

STEVE DAVIS

M y mouth opened wide, releasing a loud yawn the next morning which to me was evidence of having a good night's rest. My mind crawled slowly towards Steve Davis. I wondered who he was, what kind of business he was into. Being an escort doesn't mean that I don't do background research on my clients but I knew that mine was more of curiosity than a research as I goggled up his name.

Awe filled me, upon reading his biography. The face whose features were smooth and dark on the screen signifying Photoshop, increased my nervousness of meeting him.

His page read: Number seven on Forbes List. An inspiration to the younger generation. A ruthless businessman.

I shook my head as I flipped my phone off. A ruthless businessman indeed. I tried to picture how his kind would be, probably, he would be arrogant. Maybe he would want people to lick his feet. The thought of that made me scoff.

I got off the bed to prepare for my early morning routine and at the same time decided that he would taste my wrath if he tried anything funny with me.

Stepping out of the bathroom made me feel light headed and to my surprise, I felt the need to dress special. So I strode to my gigantic wardrobe and chose my favorite color   lemon green and matching boot heels. I chose a designer black bag, with matching black and lemon green jewelry.

My makeover was done with a rush, looking at the mirror I smiled and my beauty radiated. Why am I so eager to see this Steve Davis? Who knows?

I entered my green Toyota Corolla car and drove out. Driving straight into the enclosed garage, I noticed another car packed beside hers.

I wondered if it was my client or maybe she was having another visitor. I parked my car and entered the apartment and met Cassy laughing with someone. Her face was lit, whatever they were discussing must really be amusing. On seeing me she smiled.

“Bianca I want to introduce you to Steve Davis.” She said as he stood up. Our eyes locked, goose bumps filled me instantly.

“Hi! Mr. Steve it's nice seeing you” I replied offering him a handshake which he shook firmly.

“It's my pleasure. I must confess you are a sight to behold.” He smiled gently.

“Thank you.” I said blushing. What is wrong with me? Why am I acting weird?

“Can we leave now?” He asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“Hmm! Yes... Yes... We can go.” I looked at Cassy who kept mute the whole time. Confusion was written all over her.

I ignored the look as I had no explanation to give myself. To my surprise he offered to help me hold my hand bag which I agreed to.

“Thank you” I said to him. Who is Steve Davis? What is he up to?

I kept on being surprised at how he treated me with special care. We stepped out of the apartment and I walked to my car but he refused.

“Don't worry, my driver will bring it along.” He said but it sounded bossy to me. I resisted.

“I have a car, Mr. Steve.”

His lips widened into a bright smile. “I know.” He held my hands and walked me into his car, waiting patiently for me to step in. Immediately he closed it and the screech of tires were heard.

While driving, we both stared at each other not saying a word. This isn't how it ought to be.

Most clients I have had were superbly rich. They were more ready to go down to business. But his - felt different.

I am still surprised at how he treats me all of a sudden. “What hotel are we going to?” I asked, trying to sound professional.

But to my dismay he smiled. “We aren't going to a hotel, we are going to a restaurant to have a nice cool drink. Or wouldn't you like to have a drink because for me I am feeling parched.”

Well I am not feeling parched. I am here to do my work, get paid and go home. A very simple arithmetic. We got to the restaurant and were directed to where we should park. I tried alighting from the car but he refused again. What is wrong with this man? I asked myself.

“Step out gently princess.” I smiled, while he closed the door gently.

“Thank you.” I muttered coldly.

He took my arms and held me gently into the restaurant. We were directed to a reserved area by a smart looking waitress. The aesthetic looking restaurant made me feel welcomed. Its interior screamed of class and glamor. No wonder Steve brought me here for he also reeked of luxury.

“So here we are.” He said as he drew out a chair motioning me to sit.

“Yes. Here is so beautiful” I replied looking around as the smart waitress who ushered us in came to take our orders. They seemed to know each other, as they kept on chatting endlessly.

“What would you like to drink?”
“A glass of banana smoothie please.” I replied.

“Please bring my usual.” The waitress smiled as she walked out.

“So please why are we here?” I asked, looking nervous wanting to know what all this informality was for. Because as far as I am concerned it is against my business rules to have informal relationships with my client.

“Well let's just say I am not in the mood and I just want to chat with you or can't I. Please, it's just a harmless discussion.” He smiled while allowing the waitress to serve the drinks. A bottle of Chardonnay was served with a wine glass. A quick stab on the cover of my smoothie was enough to enjoy it.

Staring flatly at him, I raised my brow in disgust.
“I don't have that time.” I told him standing up to leave.

“I hope you aren't planning on walking out on me?” I heard him say to me as he calmly sipped the wine.

“Yes of course I am walking away to go get some other client who is willing to pay me handsomely for my professional services. That is why I am an escort and not a single lady looking for someone to love.”

“Please I am bored and I will love to discuss a little with you before we get down to business.” He spoke again but with a calmer demeanor.

I sighed and sat down again. His attention solely on me. Not in any way divided. “So what do you want us to talk about and please know that you are going to pay me for my

time too” I said and he roared in laughter. What was funny? Did I sound funny?

“Okay, what is it that you want to discuss?”

“I want to get to know you better, that's all. I don't know if I committed any crime that will warrant your annoyance. But you look more beautiful whenever you frown your face.”

What! I roared into laughter, I laughed so hard that my side began to ache. No one had ever told me that. Funnily enough, it made me laugh too. What is this man up to? I asked myself for the umpteenth time.

Steve Davis a billionaire who had made money from importation of cars. He had no time for women, but once in a while had a little fling.

This woman seated him was mesmerizing. She loved her business more than anyone. After all, she is just a mere prostitute who made money from sleeping with men.

***

I looked at this man and noticed that he had a warm look, which made my heart twitch. He was nice to be with. He is gentle yet firm. Annoying but sweet and almost every lady who passed by him drooled over him.

I masked the raging emotions building up in me. This isn't what I bargained for. Now, he would be another client who wasted my day with his flirting talks.

Although, his attention was solely on me, not even on the waitress who kept coming to our table to make him request something we didn't want. This increased my agitation.

“Aren't we supposed to go down to business?” My tempo rose.

“Bianca, please let's not do this.”

“Do what?” I snapped, drawing back my chair noisily. I walked out, my heels clicking on the white tiled floor.

“Bianca...” His voice trailed behind me, my anger getting the best of me. I boarded a taxi to the office.   “What's wrong?” Cassy noticed my countenance. “It's Steve Davis...”

EXASPERATING BILLIONAIRE.

T he thoughts of him filled my mind. “Shouldn't a cold glass of water help quench the thought of him?” I asked myself. My feet tapped on the tiles floor intentionally, as I walked to the fridge to get it.

Random thoughts danced in my head increasing my confusion on how exactly I felt. “Bianca, listen right now you don't need a man in your life, what you need is their money and not their love so put yourself together and focus.” a voice said in my head.

I lifted the glass slowly to my lips; the cold water touched my tongue, dissolving all thoughts of him. My tension relaxed immediately. I brushed my mind of him as my phone rang. Oh! No, not again. I sighed deeply as I picked up.

“Hello pretty, how are you doing?” He asked.

“It's Bianca, not pretty. Also I am fine.” I said

“It's getting late, I wanted to check up on you.” The call clicked ending with a large beep that made me wince. The nerve of him! No good night, nothing.

Gosh! Why are men this mean? Indeed I need to take him off my mind. Exasperating billionaire that's what he is. I sighed drifting off to sleep.

***

Steve Davis flung his phone to the bed. What exactly did she have that he didn't see in other women? Nothing, absolutely nothing.

He stared into nothing, his eyes felt light not even a trace of sleep.

The quietness in his spacious room did nothing but compound his boredom. He was sure about his feeling but her occupation was something to worry about. He tried erasing her from his mind by turning face down and closing his eyes.

The pillow felt rough, he got up and rearranged it, tapping it to feel the softness. The illuminated room suddenly felt hot, he ignored it and tried sleeping. This isn't what he wants, opening his eyes he sighed deeply. The duvet seemed to press his weight down, he flung it aside his back facing the wall, wiping drops of sweat formed on his face he immediately rushed into the bathroom and turned the shower on. In few minutes he was on bed asleep peacefully.

STRANGE FEELINGS

M ost Saturdays are for attending luxurious parties but mine would be wholly spent at home. The day looked bright and I was going to enjoy the whole of it by resting all out.

This morning seemed different, my mood felt joyful as I turned on the music and prepared breakfast and at the same time waiting for my house manager to arrive.

My phone rang. My God, who doesn’t like enjoying a sunny morning? I picked up the phone and looked at the screen... It made my heart skip a bit.

I decided not to since I was in a festive mood when the doorbell rang. My house manager was here. I rushed to the door while holding my robe with one hand.

Oh! My God! I slammed the door shut, turned and arranged myself and opened it again. I kept staring at him but couldn't find my voice.

“Hello Bianca, were you ignoring my calls?”I strode back to the living room leaving him standing at the entrance. This man wouldn’t just keep to himself. I sighed deeply, while still holding my robe. Worse, I couldn't find my voice.

“Do I look like a ghost to you?” He asked, smiling as he walked without being invited, sitting down heavily on the   cushion, looking around with enthusiasm. My anger aroused more.

“Mr. Davis, courtesy demands that you at least give prior information before coming. I wasn't expecting you... you...” I stammered recognizing the look on his face as that of more enthusiasm than annoyance.

“Bianca, I want to spend quality time with you today. I mean it.”  “No I am busy” I snapped back at him. “My house manager will be here soon, besides I don't want to go anywhere today.”

“Okay, give me a second.” He winked at me while I clenched my fist in anger. He seemed to upset me at any slight opportunity. I watched him with rapt attention as he made a call staring at my cleavage which was slightly opened. My face flushed with embarrassment, my fingers worked on clinging to the collar even before I realized it.

“I don't need your help...” The doorbell rang interrupting me, I hurriedly opened the door, staring at the men at my entrance. From their attire, I knew that they came for Steve. They bowed slightly while I made way for them to enter. They exchanged pleasantries with Steve as he told them what to do. “Thank you but I haven't had my bath. Can I do so now? I will need to have breakfast.”

“Where is your room?”

“Why are you asking? It's the last room down the Inn on hall.” In one swoop he lifted me into his arms walking gallantly like a soldier, I shouted and hit him to put me down but he didn't budge.

Steve Davis gently turned the door knob while holding me in his arms. The translucent light made his lips spread into a smile, he gently put me down and tried planting a kiss on my forehead but I pushed him gently.

“I need to go to the bathroom now.” I grabbed my towel, striding to the bathroom without even batting an eyelid on him. Gosh! This man knows how to put me on the edge.

“Fine, I will be here when you come out.” He said after me. The bath tub calmed my nervousness. I poured water on my face trying to extinguish the heat which flooded my face. Every scene replayed in my head, made me smile unknowingly. Snapping out of my reverie, I finished up and was still shocked to see him standing there looking directly at me. “You are beautiful.” he said, still looking at me without blinking, his eyes trailed to my bare shoulders. Water trickled down my shoulders. I cleared my throat and shot him a dagger stare.

“Thank you. But please can I dress up? I really need to and I can't if you are standing here staring at me like that.”

Steve Davis wandered around my room looking through my things and at the same time ensuring that he wasn't looking at me until I was done dressing.

“How do I look?” He turned around while I hurriedly adjusted the hem of my skirt but he kept looking stunned.

“You are extremely beautiful my dear.” He said leaning close as he planted a soft kiss on my lips... I was too shocked for words. I drew myself away from him to avoid doing something that we might both regret.

What do you really think is happening to me?

Butterflies flooded my stomach planting soft kisses. Warmth filled my every sense as he held out his hand to lead me out of the house but I ignored him and walked out.

I didn't want any further embarrassment and masked my feeling of softness. One thing I am sure of is that I am not ready for a relationship, I don't know or feel love for anyone and I wasn't ready to   Love could make one feel stupid more especially the way he kept staring deeply into my eyes as we drove out of my compound. His eyes kept communicating but I ignored it.

Other times I looked away or stared at my phone while he continued driving until we got to a shopping mall.

“Why are we here? You never told me we were going shopping, you said...”

“Forget what I said Bianca, what's important is that we are here right now. So please no arguments. Let's go in.” He said opening the driver seat and walking out to open the door for me.

Different pairs of eyes gazed at me.

Some love others with jealousy. With a cute smile he held my waist and walked in like I was the only thing that existed.

My face flushed pink as we entered and was greeted by all. The shopping mall had different sections that ranged from provision to electronic gadgets to clothes, make-up accessories.

Children roamed about, mothers running after their children. Young couples walking hand in hand. Others laughing and picking up different items.

Jealousy welled up my chest as I held on to him, he smiled at me and pecked my cheek; leading me to the female clothing section.

Selfish me! I immediately wanted all for myself so I stood confused not knowing which I should pick. The shop attendant directed me to the mini dressing room which had a large mirror and a curtain that differentiated it and the rest of the clothing section. I stared at the pile of clothes and begun trying them out. I would go to seek Davis approval if an outfit was gorgeous, the one he liked he hinted with a smile the others he gave a nod.

After the changing of clothes I tried several pairs of shoes but was confused which to choose.

Surprisingly, all the clothes and shoes on the line I tried were packaged for me. I leaped for joy and entangled myself in his arms. He paid for them not after winking at the attendant. A pang of jealousy rose to my chest as he claimed my hand again and we walked out to his car. In no time we arrived at a nice restaurant.

“Thank you for the gifts, that was very kind of you.” I said as I took a bite of the chicken placed on my plate which I ordered.

Nothing else makes a girl happy if not taking her out to shop nee things.

“Who wouldn't want to spend on a damsel like you? Bianca, I don't know how this will sound but I need us to be closer than this.” he said as my held the chicken beneath my fingers tightly. My smile was beginning to fade, which he observed really fast.

“I am sorry if I am about to soil your mood but it's the truth. I feel something deep for you and I will like to do farther than this with you and you alone.”

“Thank you, but I am not ready to be committed to someone.” I replied not even looking into his face.

“Just think about it.” He said while we cleared the remaining of what was left on our plates.

The silence between us was thick enough to be sliced into two as we drove back to the house. I muttered a thank you while he helped me out with the shopping bags.

I walked in nervous only to find Cassy seated in the verandah.

“This babe is looking hot. You didn't tell me you were going shopping.” She said as I turned the door knob.

“Steve Davis.” I said.

“Oh! My Gee! I knew it. He is the only one that makes you frown deeply this way.” She smiled.

“Is it that obvious?”

“Of course, girl. I am itching to see what you have in there.” I laughed till I got into my bedroom with her strolling behind me. I dropped the bags on the bed and slumped while she began to rummage through my things.

Her voice increased the throbbing headache.

“Why are you shouting? I have a headache please.”

“That headache needs to clear away. Girl, you are on fire. Every designer outfit is here and you think I won't shout my happiness out. Please I need the liberty to express my feelings. Girl!! You don hit jackpot”

I shot a small smile and turned my head to look at her trying out shoes and clothes.

“ I know nau , but he wants something more than the services I will render to him and I bluntly refused.” I replied her.

“WHAT!! Are you nuts? The youngest billionaire asked you out and you refused?” Cassy asked as she paced around the room.

“I am not ready yet, that's all.”

“Then give him to me, let me show you how to treat a billionaire like a baby” I laughed and laid back gesturing that she takes more clothes and shoes.

Cassy's lively banter brought joy to my house but now it's lonely just as it has always been. Different thoughts flooded my head.

“Am I doing the right thing?” I wondered. Maybe I should let Cassy or any other lady have him while I continue my high paid job as an escort?” The more I thought of it the more I stayed confused. Giving up on the thought, I lay down to sleep hoping to get an answer the next morning.

HUNTER

S teve Davis wandered around the living room, his calloused fingers held firmly a glass of wine which he sipped on different occasions.

His solid footsteps this time sounded weak. His mind traveled to wonderland. He wished to find his sleeping beauty in Bianca but rather she preferred to be more of the Wizard of Oz.

His eyes stood transfixed on a beautiful picture frame of an elegant looking woman who reminded him so much of the woman who makes his heart beat faster than he imagines. His grip tightened on the glass as he resolved to fully win her heart.

Footsteps were heard behind. Steve didn't need to guess before knowing that it was his best friend Samuel. He waited until they both stood neck to neck.

“What keeps a man who controls chains of businesses and handles foreign currencies like they are mere paper standing?” He said smiling. Steve's face remained stoic.

“It's a woman's issue right?”

“Of course.” His voice sounded so hoarse that he couldn't recognize it.

“Tell me about her. I want to hear about this damsel who has made a young billionaire now a sick lover.” Steve          merely smiled and walked to sit. The cushion sinking deeper under his weight. He laid his head down, gently dropping his glass cup that made a click sound on the side stool beside him.

Samuel, a well built man had the body build of a bouncer. His dark facial features brought a bevy of ladies to his doorstep. More especially the length of his lashes. He ensured that he blinked his gorgeous eyes whenever he wooed a lady who would have no option but to fall for his flirtatious charms.

He listened with rapt attention, his eyes widening in awe as he wondered what form of method was used by this lady to catch his friend's attention.

“Take a break first, Steve. I know you very well. You hardly get pleased, so how come everything about this girl gets you enthusiastic?”

“I don't know, man. I love this girl. But you know the problem?” He asked, staring at the illuminated chandelier which hung firmly from the ceiling giving his home a more aesthetic value.

“What else could be the problem?”

“She is an escort.”

“An escort? How come? You need to kill those feelings immediately. A glorified prostitute is who you are having feelings for? What is wrong with you?” He shouted gazing   at his friend more closely to ensure that he was mentally stable.

“I am fine man. I don't know how but I just know that I love her and I must get her. After all, I have always been a successful hunter in this game.”

“I know man but what about Silver?” Steve sighed deeply. He was deep in thought. Maybe his friend is right, she might not be the one for him but even if she is one she might change with time.

He never wanted a woman of her kind. But still he found himself attracted to her. He found himself wanting her, spending on her, loving her. 'Are you sure that isn't one of her tactics to extort money from you?” His friend stared at him after a long deep silence.

“No, if only I can make her stop it and look for something nice for her to do. Then I will claim her fully for myself. She is mine.” He soliloquized smiling at the lady in the frame as he gaze running all over the picture

“Fine I get it, you are truly in love with her but what about Silver...” Steve's phone rang. “Speak of the devil.” His friend burst into a deep laughter.

“Hey baby, how are you?” Silver said. Her clinginess was what out Steve off. It infuriated him that he tried to avoid her every move which included her shadow but she was like ants to sugar, circulating, leaving no breathing space.

“I am fine” he replied coldly

“What's wrong? You sound odd? Are you feeling horny? You know, I can come over and do that which I know how to do best. You know how it goes. I have missed you baby.”

“I don't need you today.” Her words irritated him but he ensured that he concealed his irritation.

“Why honeycomb? I need you inside of me. It's been a while now. You always have the need for me? I miss you, I miss us...” Samuel's eyes darted away quickly, he recognized his friend's mood.

“Why? You always need me around. Or is there another woman now? Who is that bitch Steve? Who are you sleeping with, Steve? You always want me. You always need me around to warm your bed. So why are you refusing me? What sex style can she give you that I don't know? She should steer clear and go find another man because I don't share my man Steve. I don't!!” She said, causing him to lose his temper.

“Listen young lady I lack enough patience to listen to any nagging from you. News flash! There is no woman in the picture. Get it into your thick head.” He snapped at her and hung up.

“Crazy” He stormed out of the house, as his driver opened the car door for him. “I will be right back. You can take anything you want. See you soon.” With that he walked out leaving his friend in a state of conundrum.

“Take me to Bianca's home.” He commanded his driver.

***

Silver flung her phone, slightly missing the wall. She groaned, feeling frustrated. Davis would never speak to her in this manner. What came about such insolence?

She furiously hit her head against the wall screaming Davis' name. A streak of blood rolled down her face. Her laughter resounded, echoing out.

“Davis, you are mine. No one will take you away.” Her long-tanned nails raved her hair into a dirty mess. Her disheveled look made her burst into more spontaneous laughter.

Her heart began to pound faster, filled with an unknown desire, she frantically checked her wardrobe until she found it. She quickly pulled out the pack of cigarettes, lit it and inhaled deeply until it filled her lungs. She coughed out and let the air flow through her mouth and nostrils.

Her breath returned to normal. She inhaled in, taking a long drag, the stick held out in between her two fingers held a hint of glow. A tiny trace of smoke emanated from it.

Being an over pampered child made her lose control when things seem not to go her way. Her parents did nothing about it, making her grow with such an outrageous attitude even till adulthood.

A smile slowly made its way on her face. Resolving to find out what made Steve speak to her that way, she picked up her phone and began scrolling. A number appeared on the screen. “Monitor Steve Davis’ movement and report back to me.” Her authoritative voice reverberated through the room.

ANTIDOTE

C ool it off Bianca, this guy likes and adores you. Maybe you should give him a trial. Learn how to love Bianca. Let love lead, listen to your heart and try to follow it. You have great feelings for him...” Cassy got interrupted by Bianca's phone call, which she picked up. Her face lit up in surprise.

“Are you for real?” She said standing up to grab her bag. I am on my way now. Steve Davis is standing at the door of my apartment now. So I need to be on my way.”

“Have you seen what I was saying? Go and answer your man's call Girl, you deserve love.” She replied smiling while Bianca walked to the door laughing.

***

“Hey dear please, I am so sorry. I was at Cassy's.” She stopped observing his mood after giving him a quick hug.

“What's wrong? You don't look fine.”

“Nothing, I am fine now that I am with you. Please did you prepare anything?” He asked as they both went into the house.

Bianca served him a plate of food which he ate with relish. “I have thought about what you said earlier and I like you too. Maybe we can start from somewhere.” She said smiling.

Steve Davis stood up slowly, his lips quivered. He held her hands and hugged her tightly to himself whispering into her ears, a gush of emotions sprung up from within overwhelming Bianca's whole being.

“Thank you, my love. You are my antidote. I promise, you won't regret this.” For the first time in her life, she felt safe in his arms.

MY PRIVACY

A fter all, giving love a trial despite my rough beginning didn't feel so bad. Ours was real in itself. It was platonic. He gave me reason to give thanks.

My new relationship opened my eyes to the fact that God was indeed able to transform who he deems fit. I would say, he brought Steve my way to save me from failing. He was my knight in shining armor.

Our love sparked jealousy and trending news on and off social media. Being a wealthy guy, I guess must have brought lots of feminine attention his way.

Our weekend shopping was becoming more of a tradition. Most times our fingers would interlock against each other as we walked side by side into the boutique.

“Oh! My God. It's really you.” A half clad lady rushed into his arms deliberately pushing me, making me trip to the floor. She held him firmly, planting a lot of kisses all over him.

“Get a grip of yourself woman.” He held her firmly, giving her some space enough to get to where I stood, dusting myself.

“Are you hurt, baby?” He asked, worry filled his eyes. Seeing him search my body for any available scar made my heart flip a million times.

“I am fine,” I said, feigning anger. The unknown lady stood watching us, in a moment of surprise he hugged me to himself, our cheeks brushing at first.

The world stopped for a second, heels clicked forward. Footsteps hastened towards us. We drifted apart for a minute, staring into his eyes was the most sincere expression I have ever seen. Our eyes searched deep into each other, giving silent promise of a bounded love before the crowd.

Slowly, our lips met. It was a slow one. I hesitated at first but the push of his tongue feeling me with warmness made me relax and give in. Together we created a new synergy. Our love felt secure. It ended with his lower lips brushing against mine savoring its sweet taste.

Camera lights flickered all around us. Various hands applauded, making him grin wider. Embarrassment filled my face but Steve was quick to observe, wrapped his hand around my waist and led me out of the mall.

Shades of pink filled my face as he drove out. He smiled, planting a soft kiss at the back of my palm as he held them with one hand while he firmly gripped the steering wheel with the other.

My phone rang and Cassy's name popped up.

“Babe, you are seriously trending o!” She screamed over the phone.

“What do you mean?” I asked, still feeling a tingling sensation crawling over my body. “Check the internet.” She hung up almost immediately.

My eyes widened with shock: YOUNG BILLIONAIRE STEVE DAVIS KISSES HIS GIRLFRIEND PASSIONATELY IN MALL.

My eyes moved faster than a thunderbolt and settled on Steve who wore a smile as he drove. Our relationship has been made public. Why can't people stick their noses to their own business?

“Don't think too much about it.” Steve said while focusing on the road.

“Steve, I am a private person. I don't like this at all. I am beginning to feel choked.” I said, looking away from him.

Truly, I preferred my own privacy. But on a second thought will I ever be able to cope? I love being an Escort, with it comes power and influence. But aside from the money, I loved great sex.

I was used to getting it from different men. Will I be able to cope? I sighed deeply...

“Why are you parking the car? We aren't home...” The gentle brush of his lips on mine sent sparks all over me. I stared at him as he patted my hair like I was a little child.

“I am here. I know you like your privacy but I really want you to give up on thinking about it. Nothing will happen to   you. I give you my word.” His reassurance heightened my fears. Can I really be faithful to this man? I asked myself. He reignited the car and zoomed off.

SILVER

H er phone beeped with a message, she flipped it open and to her dismay tons of pictures popped up.

The happy pictures of the duo felt like a stab in her heart. Their intertwined fingers and their huge grin on their faces made her color red.

Jealousy rose like bile to her throat. She felt hurt. Her chest tightened in anger.

She would pay that witch a lesson she would never forget. The last picture struck her like a thunderbolt, the passionate kiss they shared publicly was the last straw that broke the camel's back. Loud screams tore through her, refilling with more hate and scorn for Bianca.

SURROUNDED THREATS

I walked into my room after being accompanied by my lover and sharing a kiss before leaving. I felt exhausted, a warm bath sounded appealing. No interference, no intruder. He tried convincing me to come stay in his house but I refused. Everything seems great now.

Except the fact that being staying as an escort or walking away is a decision that seems hard to take. But for the first time in a while, I prayed in my heart that no one uses it against me. The next day felt more refreshing. Boredom filled my sense that I remembered not seeing Cassy in a while. I threw on a pair of denim trousers over a pink blouse. My makeup was done so no need to add more. I picked my keys and dangled them as I walked relieved to finally leave the house.

My mind, although fixed on the road, was also on Steve. I wondered what he was doing now, as I drove out of the house; I would call him immediately when I get to Cassy's. I had a strict rule which was no phones while driving.

Suddenly, a car drove straight towards me, I felt a tick in my spirit that this wasn't something good but ignored it. A blue jeep drove straight towards me, blocking me from gaining access to the road. Sensing trouble which obviously was done intentionally, I got out immediately calming my nerves to avoid venting the already building fury. With bold steps I walked towards the car to confront who was behind it, but stopped in the middle, waiting patiently for whosoever to show up.

A lady came out gorgeously dressed, she looked very expensive but instead of intimidation, I felt more empowered. She seemed way more lower than my standard. I watched with keen interest as she made her way towards me. “Please, what is this about?” I asked her not recognizing her face.

“Bianca, the lady who has dined with the devil. I know you too well darling. No man can ever escape your devilish antics.” Only a person who knows me personally could say such about me. Except... She must have researched who I was. A sullen mood crept slowly but I refused to let it show.

“Well, I am Silver. Steve Davis' fiancé. Does that name ring a bell?” She asked. Her words struck really hard. “I know that you have been sleeping with him but I forgive you. Here's an advice, I don't share my man with anyone. I am willing to crush you if you refuse to take my advice. You are surrounded. Don't dare me baby girl because you are too pretty to be tampered with.” She blew a kiss and walked away.

I was surprised at her approach. She sounded like a spoiled rich brat. I spoke not a word till I drove into Cassy's place. Being surrounded by threats made me feel goose bumps.

Now do you see why I didn't want a man in my life?

“Cassy heaven is about to fall.” I said so as I walked into her house and sat down. “What is wrong, Bianca. You look pale?” She observed “Steve Davis' Fiancé stopped me today.”

“WHAT!!!” Cassy screamed. “How did you know about this?” She asked, sitting up.

“She confronted me on my way here. I didn't even know how she got to know of me, what baffles me most is why he chose to conceal it from me. Or why he couldn't stick to her. I told you that I wasn't interested but no. I was about to date the youngest billionaire in Lagos” she said mimicking Cassy.”Have you seen it now? If you had stood by me I would still be having Clients. I even forgot to tell you, I am still not done deciding if that I would leave the job because of him.” She replied fuming.

“Bianca, don't talk like that. Steve Davis loves you, yes he does. Maybe, it is someone who is trying to force herself on him due to his wealth. Remember, women will always flock around him. You are lucky that we are friends, because if not I would have snatched him away from you.” She busted out laughing.

“You are crazy, thank God you weren't planning on stealing my man from me. Well, I am done with him.”

“You said what? Don't you dare. Listen, you will invite him here and now and hear from him. Stop this jare.” She said readjusting herself on the chair.

I dialed his line, although with mixed feelings. “What if he claims his rights on it?” I asked myself as he said he would be here in a few minutes. In less than twenty minutes, I heard him come in as he tried to kiss me as usual which I declined. Cassy understood what was going on and excused herself.

“Your Fiancé Silver confronted me today.” The news struck him hard. His Adams apple bobbled up and down as he swallowed his panic.

“Seriously, how dare she? Baby I am so sorry. Besides, she isn't my fiancé. Is that why she acted weird over the phone? I can't even marry her type of lady, not in this world, not even the next. I am sorry for the confrontation. I will see to it that it doesn't repeat itself again.”

“Okay, it won't, because I am no longer interested. Maybe you should go sort things out with her. No one should bring me into it.” I stood up, his eyes followed me. I ignored his eyes to avoid seeing the hurt in it.

It felt bad ending things with him. Loving Steve Davis was never a mistake but giving love a chance was.

CONFRONTATION

S ilver’s weight compressed the brown leather cushion, her thighs bare open revealing exposed flesh whose smoothness had been achieved through the use of beauty creams which accentuated her ebony skin.

The ring of the bell from the door made her wonder who would dare disturb her peaceful afternoon. Hoping to throw tantrums at the intruder, she readied herself waiting patiently for her maid to appear before her presence.

The deep baritone of his voice caused the raging emotions to dissipate as quickly as it came. She leaned up slightly, adjusting herself into a much sexier position. Her buttons flew open within the twinkle of an eye, exposing her chocolate tanned skin cleavages.

“My baby boy, I knew you would come back to mama.” She said rising to engage him in a warm embrace which he skillfully avoided.

“How dare you Silver? You had no right to confront her.” His rich baritone voice echoed across the room attracting the maid's attention. Her stares were filled with disgust and hate.

“No Steve, you had no right to disrespect me. Take a good look at me, am I not beautiful enough? Or classy? Or even much sexier than that thing…

“Don't you ever call her a thing. It's Bianca. Her name is Bianca.” He screamed almost on top of this voice.

“Damn you, Steve. Listen, there are other billionaires out there who are willing to have just thirty minutes of my time but I have been refusing because of you.” Her long manicured nails drew circles on his cheek. She dragged them slowly to his chest, stopping at the edge of his nipples. The dark look on his face gave her satisfaction. Only a little further, he would scream her name in ecstasy.

Steve understood her antics, knowing that not taking a step away from her would make her succeed. He stared deep into her eyes, making her shudder as he spoke.

“Damn you Silver! I am done with these games. I prefer to be with a woman who can give me peace of mind than be with a sex freak...” A deep crack swept across his face. She took a few steps backwards looking bewildered at her action.

Fury enveloped him, with heavy steps he approached her menacingly” I am not a violent person neither am I man who hit women. But if you try this next time, I won’t hesitate to show you the tamed beast in me. I am done with you Silver.” He retraced his steps to the door but her voice hindered him from moving forward, holding it's knob he turned to her.

“NEVER! Did you hear me? I will never allow both of you to be happy together. I love you and you are mine and mine alone! No other woman or gold digger will take you away from me!” Silver panted hard, trying to steady her breath.   Her emotions raging endlessly. Steve stared at her muttering inaudible words as he stormed out of the house.

“That was more than a threat? I just can’t fathom why this spoilt brat won’t let me be.” He wondered as he walked to his car, his driver bowed before him and opened the door.

His lips slowly parted into a smile on remembering Bianca, her image flashed illuminating his mind like the golden rays of the sun. “Bianca, you are mine and mine alone” he muttered to himself as he settled down, still feeling the stinging pains from the strike he received.

SEX AND DRUGS

S ilver paced around the house piqued. “GOSH!!! Who the hell is this lady?” She screamed, pulling her hair in anger. The functioning air conditioner did nothing to abate the hotness she felt within her. “She has succeeded in stealing my man... No... No....I will not allow it.” She dials her phone “Charles I need you to check on a gold digger named BIANCA and get back to me immediately. She threw her phone to the cushion, and began to shake her head vigorously. Her eyes grew red and her breathing increased. Two things was needed to pacify her, sex and drugs.

Rushing to the mini-bar she twisted the opening and brought out a pack of cocaine. Her fingers wobbled as she tore open the pack and began to sniff deeply from the table.

Feeling unsatisfied, her body grew hot. She sniffed more, licking up the remaining with her tongue. Her fluffy slippers were flung to a corner of the living room. “Steve, where are you? I need you to know.” She picked her phone and dialed a number.

“Mummy feels hot, I need you inside of me.” She hung up.

After a few minutes, a message beeped, making her laugh hard. “The game is on!”

SEDUCTION

I felt uneasy and bored in my room. I needed a man's touch, I dialed Steve's number but it was unreachable. I felt my sexual urge growing endlessly but had no one to quench my unending sexual needs. I quickly rushed to the bathroom to have a quick bath, it cooled down for few minutes and increased. I felt uneasy again. I promised Steve never to go back to my past life and I can't bring myself to hurt the man I care about even though we weren't together anymore

I prepared to visit Cassy in her home as I entered into my favorite ride. I noticed a man standing at my gate. He looked smoky and hot. I Managed to comfort myself and walked to him.

“Why are you standing by my gate and who let you in?” I asked him

“I am sorry, I need help. I am looking for where to rest my head tonight. I have come a long way and can't continue my journey because it's getting late. I looked at him pitifully. A lustful thought flashed my mind, I smiled at him but shook the thought off.

“Yes, I will help you, please come in. I replied, motioning him into my house, I collected his bag from him.

We walked back into my house and I welcomed him. I made him feel at home, ensured he had a hot bath and prepared a delicious meal for him.

As I went to set the dining table, he came out dripping wet with nothing but briefs. I swallowed hard. No! No! This can't happen. I can't hurt Steve. What if I am being set up. I quickly removed my gaze from him as I set the food.

To avoid any discussion I took my food inside but was held back by his voice. “Please don't go, eat with me.” He begged, I looked around as he made a baby face for me. Oh! God! What kind of temptation is this?

I didn't say anything but sat down to eat. He tried asking me some questions but I answered the best way I could. We finished dinner and he thanked me. I went to drop the plates in the kitchen when I saw a figure by the door.

“What do you want from a stranger? Who are you?”

He rushed towards me taking his lips with mine, his tongue dancing with mine as he began to caress me.

I felt weak underneath, my legs couldn't hold me anymore. Then the feelings came, I wanted more... It became intense, his tongue rolled and spelt out lust with mine.

But what I was doing was wrong, I love Steve and I can't bear to hurt the man who loves me for me. I have to end this, my mind screamed at me to put a stop to it. I pushed him hard as he almost crashed to the floor.

“Who the hell are you? What do you want from me, stranger?” I asked, gasping for air.

“I am sorry, please pardon my manners.” He said as he walked towards the refrigerator.

“I will fix drinks for us so that we can talk about it. Please go sit down.” He said as I shook my head and walked to the living room. “Who does he think he is to want to have his way in my own house.” I smirked as I sat down.

Shortly, he came out with two glasses of wine and gave me one. I sipped it gently. Hmm! Sweet!

“I am so sorry, I was carried away by your beauty. It radiates like the sun.” He said

“That's the reason why you want to make out with a stranger in her own house.” I said feeling disgusted.

“Like I said, I am sorry. My name is Charles and thank you for having me in   your house.” He replied smiling.

The effects of the drugged drink began its work. Drowsiness with a touch of dizziness washed over me.

“I am going to bed.” I said as I tried to stand up but fell back to the chair. “I am fine, don't worry, I just feel a bit dizzy” I said to him and he smiled.

“It's written all over you. Where is the direction to your room? You need to rest.” He replied as he raised me up In his arms. I showed him drowsily.

He walked into my room and put me down slowly, his strong hands began to work on undressing me slowly. “What... Are... You doing?” I asked him if he was too weak to fight. He ravished my body and began to make love to me. Oh!

God I am doomed! I didn't want it but yet I wanted it. I moaned lazily in pleasure as he thrusted into me.

Making me feel in the mood and weak. I tried to fight him off but the feeling got better of me. With one thrust he poured his semen all over me.

I looked at him one last time as he smiled and kissed my forehead. “Good day princess...” I slowly closed my eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

RAPE

T he next morning felt fuzzy, I woke up feeling moist in my private parts. Yesterday night felt different but hot. I yawned and stretched. I just wasn’t sure if it was a dream but if felt real. The moans that emanated from the mystery guy, the touch his kisses felt real. And the way he thrusted into me was pretty real.

I glanced around my room and noticed the bed was in disarray. I pushed aside the duvet to find out that I was naked. I felt sticky in my vulvar region. Flashes of last night poured forth. I noticed white substances oozing from my private part.

Oh! No! What happened? I rushed out of bed and looked at the mirror. My hair was messy, semen on my private part how come?

No! The stranger. I immediately grabbed my robe from my closet and rushed to the guest room, my footsteps heavy on the floor seemed not to bother me. I found no one there, the living room, the kitchen. The whole house for I was alone. I sank to the floor dismayed. I have been raped.

My fingers wobbled. I choked, feeling the urge but trying to stifle it. The hurt was too much. A mountain of tears flowed down my cheeks, rolling down to form a pond on the floor. How do I narrate this to anyone? How would I tell people that I was raped in my own house by a stranger that I let in on my own.

Steve walked out of the bathroom, steam drifted out of his head. He held a soft towel and wiped his face with it when he heard a beep from his phone. He ignored it and walked towards his wardrobe, he just wasn’t in to apply anybody cream. His dark brown wardrobe reeked of various outfits ranging from English, native, Italian and various designer wears.

His phone ring distracted him from picking out an outfit. He turned around but ignored the ring and picked out a gray suit. Today's itinerary included attending official meetings in which he would have to dress the part.

He pulled it out and began to dress, his phone incessant ring began to irritate him. Samuel’s name popped on the screen.

“Man, do you want to run down my battery?” I asked, feeling a little piqued.

“There’s trouble Steve.” His voice sounded hoarse, which indeed meant that something was amiss. “What’s wrong?” Tension was beginning to rise forming a tight knot in my chest.

“I warned you man but you didn’t listen. I am sure you should have seen the trending news or would soon receive it. I am not in the right place to tell you about the content of what you would receive soon. It’s too disgusting to be said . Check it out on your own.” The end tone was heard.

Steve’s heart raced faster than normal as he noticed a notification and checked it. What he saw broke his heart.

Bianca’s loud moans reverberated through the phone. Held in the most weird sex positions shattered his hearts. Bianca’s obviousness on how well pleasured she was made him feel bitter. The young man’s face was blurry making it look like a porn clip. A spear struck through him, he held his chest in pain not from physical pain but from emotion and sat down sobbing deeply. With a firm determination, he slipped on fancy footwear and walked out of the house. Bianca had an explanation to give him.

***

Feeling too ashamed of myself, I laid on the cushion robe still on. Cassey’s incessant ring did not make me stop soaking the rich brown leather cushion. She must have heard the sudden news by now...

The ring of the door bell interrupted my thoughts, who was that? I wondered.

I lazily rose up, running my hand through my disheveled hair, I only managed to arrange it but it still was in disarray. I opened the door slowly peeking out to find Steve standing before the door.

Too dazed to speak, I allowed him in. I closed the door and watched him intently. I could tell that he was here because

of the video. Deep pain filled his eyes. We stared at each other, the silence between us growing thicker.

“What do you have to say about it? You enjoyed it right?” he asked, shooting lasers at me. I muttered inaudible words but didn’t have the courage to speak out.

Rage filled his eyes. I panicked on seeing him get hurt, I ended things with him not because I didn’t feel a thing for him but because I was jealous. I have been a freaking jealous lady, not wanting to hear or see any lady beside him.

“Bianca you are worse than a dog. Why would you? You made a promise never to go back to your past life but no, a dog will always remain a dog.” His calm demeanor accompanied with the vulgar words slit through my heart like a butcher’s knife. Fresh tears flowed down my eyes.

“I. I. I...”

“You did what? You want to say you are sorry? No way, I saw the video clip of how your client was having sex with you and you enjoyed every bit of it. You disgust me Bianca. Worst of all, you decided to send it to me to prove that you really will never change right?” He said

“Steve, I swear it’s not what you think you saw...” I stammered. A murderous look displayed in his eyes.

“What do you mean? You were obviously enjoying it. Do you wish to see it again.” He brought out his phone and   played it. My loud moans made me wail more. How would I explain that I was raped?

“I hate you, Bianca.”

“Steve, please don’t do this. It was my fault...” I tried explaining but he refused to listen. His heavy footsteps silently receding to the front door. I followed him, holding his shirt. Falling to my knees I begged with every strength in me.

“I can explain please, don’t go.” He stared at me and said nothing, pushing my hands off his, he walked out without looking back.

I screamed, I mourned, this felt worse than when I lost my mother. Who dares do this to me? Who has decided to throw my past at me?

I might have lost Steve Davis, he is a good man. I cried my eyes out as my phone beeped with a video on WhatsApp, dusting myself from the ground. I opened it lo and behold my face was visible as I was moaning and crying for more, it read with a caption: ROUND TWO, WHORE PRETENDING TO BE A SAINT.

Then it hit me... My world has ended, Charles was sent to do so. Someone hired him to lure me. Who could this be? I don't have many enemies. I kicked myself hard, I am done for.

Amidst my tears I tried calling but he switched off his phone on me. Bianca is gone, I thought to myself.

This life is indeed cruel!

I am lost in the little garden of love. I am ruined by the feelings of love. I, Bianca has been killed and brutally murdered by love. I have lost the bets in the game of love, with no other person to play against... Can I continue this way? Can I ever trust again? Will I forgive Steve Davis for believing this and without wanting to hear from me? Help me! I am in sixes and sevens.

TRUE FRIENDSHIP

I quickly rushed to the kitchen and brought out three bottles of various brands of Whisky. Maybe, I would drown my sorrows and find solace in it. I sat on the floor emptying it in large gulps. The great burn I felt in my throat soothed my nerves and I didn’t mind. I held the bottle to my lips when a hand snatched it from my mouth. I cried harder immediately when I saw her. Cassy held me in a warm embrace and comforted me.

“Do you want to kill yourself, whatever the problem is we will settle it?”

“Cassy, I am finished. My whole life has been ruined.”

“I know, I saw it and I do not judge you. How did it happen?” She asked me and I narrated everything to her.

“What! And Steve couldn't hear you out? Why would he do something like this?” I cried more, the frown on her face dissipated immediately and tried to calm my overflowing tears.

“I will sleep over tonight, because you aren't in the right frame of mind to stay on your own. Besides, you are in a mess.” I tried to grab the next bottle but she was faster.

“Enough of the drink Bianca, where’s the strong woman I know? Where’s the I don’t- give- a- damn lady I know. Where’s that woman who dined with the most prominent men in Nigeria and overseas?” She asked, looking angry.

“She is dead, Cassy. That Bianca is gone. I am worthless now.”

“You are not. I don’t want to get such from you again. Now you need to be cleaned up.” She said as she lifted me up to the cushion in my dizzy state. I thanked her, she nodded and went to make a cup of hot tea for me. After drinking it, I felt a little bit calm but began to sob again. She was patient with me and allowed me to cry all I wanted until my tears bank dried up then cleaned me up. I drifted into a deep sleep...

***

Steve Davis’ exasperation raced through him, he still couldn't believe that Bianca would go that far. But who sent him that video? He thought.

Or is this a set up? He was too upset to call her. After all, she opened her legs for someone else after promising never to go back to that past life.

He hated himself too for falling for an escort. He should have known earlier that she would always miss that life and would want to taste it again.

He heard the sound of clicking heels and knew who that was. She is a pest, always clinging to him. Maybe, he could use a little distraction now.

Silver sashayed to him and planted a light kiss on his cheek, he didn't resist her. She noticed the worries on his face.

“Baby, what's wrong? You look worried.”

“Nothing.” He replied avoiding her look.

“No baby. There is something, I know you too well. I know when you are upset, happy, horny, and sad. So tell me what's wrong?” he sighed.

“Someone sent me a sex video of him and Bianca.” He grimaced.

Silver frowned a bit but smiled again. “Ignore her, I warned you but you refused to hear me out. Rather you made it a big case. Now see what a mere lady has turned you too.” She said as she took his lips in hers and moaned. Growing with huge desire he roughly held her down and laid with her.

“Indeed! You are mine now.” She said in her mind as she smiled at him while he slept peacefully.

THE BITTER TRUTHS

M y mood worsened, when I dialed his number and the automated voice She felt depressed.

Steve has refused to hear her out.

“My God! Look at you. Enough of these tears. We are going to his damn home to talk sense into his head.” Cassy said after watching me for a while.

“No we can't do that.” I replied her in tears

“Yes, we can and we will. It's better than crying your eyes out. So get prepared! Dress up, look beautiful. We are going to see Steve Davis.” She said as she walked to the wardrobe and picked an emerald green colored dress with matching shoes and bags.

I managed to dress up, I stared into the mirror and was amazed at how stunning I looked even after weeks of tears and depression. Cassy drove my car as we got to his mansion, we horned the gate man recognized me and allowed us to drive in. We entered his living room where we saw clothes scattered all over the floor.

It can't be what I am thinking. Cassy and I climbed upstairs and went into his bedroom. “Steve are you in?” I said walking in. Alas! There he was. I felt too shocked for words as my heart bled from what I saw.

Steve jumped out from the bed dragging his briefs to his waist to cover his nakedness. He was wrapped in her arms. Laying on his bed was the same lady who warned me a few weeks ago.

“Steve, really?” Cassy shouted at him, throwing her shoes at him which he dodged.

“Hey don't do that here. Who the hell are you ladies?” Silver shouted as she fumbled with the duvet trying to cover her nakedness.

“If you don't shut your mouth, I will show you how rascal I can be.” Cassy replied her ready to fight.

“Cassy calm down. Steve, please we need to talk now” I asked calmly

“Yes, we can.” Steve replied. Silver rushed out of bed holding his waist firmly.

“No you can't. Steve, you aren't going anywhere. Is this not the same gold digger whose sex videos were sent to your phone? What the hell do you both want to discuss?” She motioned to me, “Listen sweetheart, I have him now. You lose, so go back to where you both came from.” Cassy moved towards her in a flash and struck her hard on the face, making her scream.

“I told you, I can be a rascal if you want me to. You warned her to stay away from Steve and in a few days she gets a video of herself supposedly having sex with a stranger. Now let's see.” She taps a finger on her cheek, standing in akimbo. “My mind tells me that you are the one.” Cassy shouted at her.

“I.I ...I  did not. Maybe she has enemies. More especially the wives of those men she tried to steal.” She replied fuming

“Bianca has no enemies but you. My instincts tell me that a weird desperado like you would do anything to fit where she doesn't belong.” Cassy retorted.

“Cassy, calm down. Steve, please can we talk.” I said, tired of all the argument

“Don't you dare call me a desperate lady. Because she deserves what she got...No woman would allow another to gain access to her territory.” She screamed at Cassy

“What do you mean Silver? Do you have a hand in this?” Steve turned to her in confusions

“And what would happen if I did? To answer your question, yes I did. I sent Charles to set her up, after finding out that she was an escort. He really did a good job because she kept crying like a baby...” Cassy slapped her hard and pounced on her, leaving her face with scratches and blows, I rushed towards Cassy and held her back from inflicting more pain on her.

“What! Why are you this mean? Why would you do this Silver? Steve asked

“I love you Steve and I don't care about anyone else but you, and I will do more or even kill anyone who tries to   take you away from me including her.” She replied in tears pointing at Bianca.

I was speechless, hearing her vomit those words from her mouth.

“I am sorry if I ruined your happiness, Silver. But I love Steve Davis but I will never do what you did because you and I aren't alike. I might be an escort but that was in the past but ever since I found Steve I changed for the better. Steve I am sorry I came to tell you that, I was drugged it wasn't an intentional thing. I helped a stranger out of pity not knowing that I was digging my own pit. I have come to clear my mind. I wouldn't have done this if not for Cassy, she practically dragged me here and I am grateful to her, else I wouldn’t have known the truth. I am sorry, Steve. I will be on my way now.” I said turning to leave in tears, when I felt a hand drawing me back. I turned and saw Steve going on his knees.

“Bianca, I am sorry too. I should have listened to what you said. Because if I did listen, I would have seen that you were under the influence of drugs. Please, forgive me Bianca. I am in love with you. Ever since I was introduced to you I fell deeply in love with you and I promise never to hurt you. Silver deceived me, she tricked me. I wouldn’t have slept with her. Please forgive me.

“You cheated on me Steve, you hurt me more. You should have listened to what I wanted to say.” I said, my voice hoarse with tears. He held my hand

We both broke down crying, our tears running down in unison. I stared at Cassy who looked at me and nodded.

“I forgive you, Steve Davis.” I drew him up to him and held out his cheek kissing him fully. He held me in a warm embrace, stifling my forthcoming tears. We laughed and cried as we kissed again. I ruffled my hand through his hair, he held my waist and caressed the nape of my neck with his lips.

“There’s no time to waste. Let’s get married now.” He said. I was dumbfounded. My ears couldn't believe what I heard. My eyes shone with doubt. Could this be real? Bianca is an escort getting married to a billionaire, a man who loves me dearly despite my past. I cleared my throat and looked at his face filled with a smile.

“What about the leaked sex clip? Would you wish to look past it? What if people say scornful words at you, at us? Remember social media is there and it's trending now.” Fear mixed with doubt filled my voice,

“I don’t care about all those things. I care more about you. I am not getting married to the world or to social media but to you Bianca. You complete me. I am ready to go extra miles just to prove that what I feel for you is real…

“Never!!! I will not be alive and watch this happen. Silver stomped her feet on the ground. With teary eyes she held Steve’s hand.

“Baby I want you, please engage me too. I don't care if I become the second wife.” She replied as drops of tears trickled down her face.

“Second wife indeed! You are the loser now, baby girl.” Cassy laughed at her while she ignored her totally.

“Silver listen, I am sorry. I never loved you and you just aren't the woman I wish to be with. I wanted to propose to you, but this act alone has shown me that you are over pampered, rude, heartless and wicked. I don't want that type of woman in my life. So I urge you not to try anything stupid...”

“Or what will happen Steve?” She interrupted him. She scoffed. “I will never allow you both to be happy. Over my dead body, Steve.” He laughed so hard that tears rolled off his eyes making her look stupid.

“Then prepare to spend the rest of your life in Jail, pretty Silver. If you touch my wife or her friend. I will kill you with my bare hands.” Steve told her before walking her out of his house to never return. She hissed at him in shame and walked out after picking up her belongings.

“So sorry for that, so where were we?” He went down on his knees again “I will do anything to make you happy and never hurt you. I love you Bianca.”

“I love you too Steve Davis and yes, I will marry you.” I replied smiling...” As I drew him into a warm embrace.

Indeed love is a beautiful thing. Who would believe that an escort would fall in love or even have a changed life. I can't imagine myself having beautiful children with the man of my dreams. I am indeed a lucky woman.

Why don't you celebrate with me as I walk down the aisle with the man of my dreams...
