Hello dear friend,

I will be commencing this short spiritual musing from this point….. FEELING TIME - in this action alone lays one of the greatest secrets of making progress spiritually.

Let me explain….even though in recent times I have often been having cause to explain the concept of spirituality to an individual, a group or community, there was never a time I thought about creating something like this (a mini eBook) on the subject for the general public….but then the time was right to do something like this, and because I am, to a good degree, spiritually sensitive, I knew it was time to get down to work.

Now, I don’t want my spiritual musings to be over your head, as in, I don’t want you to find them difficult to understand, so I will try to stick to the core basic ideas I want you to grab as much as I can.

So let’s begin from the top and way down to the bottom (instead of the other way round)….I can’t help but start it this way….but not to worry, you will understand my points perfectly. So unto

The Rhythm of Time:

The first thing to understand in Spirituality is that there is no time nor space, neither is there a beginning nor an end. When you understand that, you will be able to allow yourself flow with the rhythm of time without being agitated or pushy. Like earlier stated, there was never a time I thought of doing an eBook such as this….all my attention was on conducting some series of Business and Career Seminars and also moving my office to a better location. But since I understand the rhythm of time, can feel time and flow with it, I was able to pick it that writing this eBook is what I should be doing NOW!

So here it is: what is the Rhythm of Time?

Time in its eternal nature is divided into just two forms which are the higher interlude and the lower interlude…..everything in the universe falls under this category, the HIGH side and the LOW side, which can also be termed the UP side and the DOWN side. This can be seen from an act as simple as the way we breathe: Inhale (HIGH) and exhale (LOW).

This high and low, up and down rhythm is what is known as time rhythm, and because most of us don’t understand this, we tend to struggle with timing more often than not.

Why? Because we live by the rhythm of a machine called clock that we have created for ourselves. We govern our lives by this machine, hence, at times (actually most times) we find our inner promptings in conflict with our machine (clock) timing……our inner promptings triggers base on the natural rhythm of time….the man that can learn that is the man making progress with ease and fulfilling purpose in record time.

We human beings have 3 major activities to carry out within a specified time; these are Work, Play and Rest.

Most of us work in the morning hours, play in the evening hours and rest in the night hours (which is actually a program we’ve adopted due to conducting our lives in accordance to our time machine), but he who is open to the natural rhythm of time in accordance to its unique personality (time is directly related to our individual being) might find out that he works best in the night hours, plays in the morning hours and sleeps in Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

It could be in any form based on our unique personality, but the point is this - it is a flow, a dance in the vortex of existence and not a program (e.g. I am typing this in the evening hours in contrast to working in the morning hours….it is a flow, hence, it can happen any how)…are you connecting?

Let me just tell you one quick and important note on time that I think will be beneficial to you: When the interlude is high, know that it is time to take external actions (e.g. conducting a seminar, building a house, starting a business, getting a job, making that sale, going for that political office etc.) and when the interlude is low, know that it is time to take internal actions (e.g.

meditations, reflections, planning etc.). Learn to feel time and flow with its rhythm - it is a dance.

How to know the Interlude is high: Simple; you will have the energy and power to ACT! (e.g. all the resources, opportunities, conditions, circumstances and people you need will be perfectly available…you will be able to act).

How to know the Interlude is low: It’s simply the opposite of the above, you will discover that you just can’t act externally, even though you might want to (the resources, opportunities, conditions, people, etc. might just not be in place, and if they are in place, but it is a low interlude, you will discover that the desire or energy to Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

Here is something to note:

Internal resistance in Spirituality means wrong timing or wrong direction (it might at times be in a form of fear or uneasiness)….be sensitive to it…..learn to relax on whatever action you want to take at such moments, and reflect or meditate instead.

UNDERSTANDING SPIRITUALITY:

Now when most people hear the word spirituality, the ideas they have are those of novel and weird things such as astral travels, lucid dreaming, meditation, observing rituals (e.g. going to church, mosque or the temple daily), daily rigorous prayers, piety etc. Most people have all sorts of ideas in their heads of what spirituality means, but certainly not something simple….and this is not their fault anyway, as some misguided elements have helped make the world believe spirituality is something up there, something that it will take a special kind of approach to attain. Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but the truth is that spirituality is none of that….Spirituality is so simple that all it requires, is to be AWARE or AWAKE!

So you want to ask: ‘To be aware of what?’

Answer: To be AWARE of who we really are and our source.

Question: So who are we really?

Answer: We are spirit beings that possess a soul and live in a body

The Formation of the Man (The Spirit, Soul and Body)

Man is a threefold being, which are the Spirit, the Soul and the Body. We are all primarily Spirit beings, but because we are meant to function in a physical world, we were given our souls and bodies as tools to help us function effectively on this physical plane called Earth.

Our soul houses our will, emotion, intellect etc., while our body is the physical part of our being. Our body is that which we can see and touch in the physical realm, but our spirit, the real us, is that which we can’t see with our physical eyes; it is that which we can’t touch by our physical hands; it is the unseen part of us, but is the real us. It is the only part that is of the same nature with the source, and the only part that can relate with the source and the unseen world.

We are all primarily Spirit beings, but because we are meant to function in a physical world, we were given our soul and body as tools that will help us function effectively in this physical plane called Earth

#Note: The Unseen world is hundred millions of times bigger than the seen world and it is ALL that is real (

…because we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are seen are temporary, but the things that are unseen are permanent…2 Cor 4:18-The Holy Bible). A good illustration is the iceberg - the seen world can be compared to its tip, that is, the visible parts, while the Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

An Iceberg:

The truth is that we are spirit beings having human experiences and not human beings having spiritual experiences…the spiritual, is who we are!

Now,

Question: What or Who is our source?

Answer: The source of everything is that infinite intelligence we mostly like to refer to as God. It is that which has upheld the universe and kept it together and running smoothly for billions of years without fail. He is the source of the Sun, Moon, Stars, Oceans, Hills, Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

Understanding Spirituality [A Guide to total alignment] by Dickson Daniel Mountains, Trees, Forests, Snow, Rain, Man etc. He is the source of ALL that we know…..and I think that should suffice. Any attempt to describe him in details is an exercise of the ego, which truly knows nothing of reality.

Any attempt to describe God in details is an exercise of the ego, which truly knows nothing of reality So it is a fraction of this infinite intelligence that was given a soul and a body, and made into man and placed on earth. And that is who you are ….if you are comfortable with it, it will do you a lot of spiritual good to realize today and this very moment that you are a god.

Get a piece of paper, write this “I AM A GOD”, and stick it where you will be able to read it every day.

I AM A GOD

Most religions do describe this infinite intelligence with three words that are very accurate: Omnipresent, Omniscient and Omnipotent. This means Always Present, Always Knowing and Always Working respectively.

Another major attribute of the source is love (in reality, it is not even an attribute but the nature of the source and what the source actually is). Biblically, it is written: Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

Anyone that is conscious of the source knows that in his presence or consciousness, only love exists and there is nothing of fear. A man that is in perfect romance (fellowship) with the source knows nothing of fear, and does nothing out of fear. For as the biblical verse rightly puts it “PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR” just like a wise man once said, “you can’t love and fear at the same time…it is not just possible” . It’s either you are love or you are fear, but you CAN’T be both at the same time. Love casts out fear

A man that is in perfect romance with the source knows nothing of fear, and does nothing out of fear The more conscious of the source a man is, the more omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent and loving he becomes…..at that level, such can be said to be spiritual.

And the degree to which he manifests these qualities is based on his degree of fellowship (romance) with the source. A man that manifests little of these qualities is said to be less spiritual, and the one that manifests more of it is said to be highly spiritual.

Caveat: You have to understand that manifesting these qualities is not an act, rather it is a flow. It rubs off on you as you fellowship more with the source, and you won’t have to consciously act it for others to see - they Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

One thing I kept repeating, and that I will like you to note, is this: “SPIRITUALITY IS A FLOW. IT IS

BEING AND NOT DOING”. Any form of spirituality that is rooted in doing is no longer it; true spirituality is being, and not an act, hence you can be an extrovert yet manifest qualities of being omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent and loving; and you can be an introvert and manifest likewise. It is BEING and not DOING.

TRUE SPIRITUALITY IS A FLOW. IT IS BEING

The Concept of Dualism (The Ego)

There is no dualism in true spirituality i.e. there is no separation. It is simply one consciousness, and one energy.

There is no dualism in true spirituality Like I earlier said, Spirituality is simply being aware of who we are in relation to our source. And I went further to state that the infinite intelligence (which we like to refer to as God) is the source of ALL Understanding.

This statement accurately connotes that there is just one energy and source from which every other thing exists….the sun, moon, stars, oceans, hills, trees, mountain, man etc., hence the idea of duality (e.g. you and me, man and woman, higher self and lower self , black and white etc. ) is a misnomer.

Biblically, the great Apostle Paul also made this stance when he wrote:

“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus (the source)”….Gal 3:28.

Understanding Spirituality [A Guide to total alignment] by Dickson Daniel consciousness, there nothing like marriage….Mark 12:25, simply because there is no separation; there is no man or woman, but only the pure energy of the source.

I am touching upon this because I see daily the idea of dualism being promoted in most spiritual teachings, hence it’s not uncommon to see students of such schools in a meditative mode trying to connect their lower self with their higher self (smile). There is no lower self nor higher self when you are truly spiritually awake. All you have is the SELF, the I AM.

You are a fraction of the source that was given a soul and a body. The source is one. There is neither you nor the source, what we simply have is the source in your form.

It is one energy, one source. It is not two….just one. It is simply I AM. That is why the psalmist wrote: I say “You are gods, offspring of the most high (source), all of you; Nevertheless, you shall die like men, and fall like any prince

because of

ignorance” …..Ps 82:6-7 (italics mine) The idea of dualism comes when we start identifying with the ego, and eventually start thinking that we are our ego. All those games of cars, houses, clothes, credit cards, marriage etc., ensued out of the ego. It is the consciousness of the ego that separates and creates different entities:

I am black and he is white,

I am this and s/he is that, etc.

All are functions of the ego….the ego can identify differences, the ego can identify the separation, but the spirit cannot because there is truly no separation….just one pure energy pervading all that there is.

The idea of dualism comes, when we start identifying with the ego and eventually start thinking we are our ego

#Note: Although we need the ego to function in our world (the earth) because the game of separation, of duality, of cars, houses, suits, wife, husband, family, etc, is what it is all about, nevertheless, what makes you (the spiritually awakened) different from others is that while you play the ego game, you have it at the back of your mind that it is the ego game you are playing, and that you are NOT your ego. Rather, you are a fraction of the source just like every other thing, hence you are all one.

just like the Master that served on earth before now.

Every Moment Is Perfect.

When asked what surprised him most about humanity, the Dalai Lama answered:

“Man sacrifices his health in order to make money.

Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.

And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived”.

One major disadvantage of identifying with the ego and erroneously thinking you are your ego is that it most often deprives you of the joy of living in the present. Few people in the world live in the present; the majority are either living in the past or in the future but certainly not in the present. Why? They identified with their egos, and thought they are their egos. As earlier noted, the ego is that which can identify separation and duality; hence when a man identifies fully with it, there will always be something that is not part of his present existence that he is forever chasing to make a part of his existence (not knowing he is whole as he is, and that which he perceives as not being part of his life now is in truth within him, and he only needs to call it out) and so he spends his Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

Understanding Spirituality [A Guide to total alignment] by Dickson Daniel whole life thinking of the future, and dies having never truly lived. This trend is one of the most disheartening things that happen to unconscious men every day and in every age.

Take a few minutes right now to reflect on how many times you truly lived in the present in a day? Very few times I believe…..it’s either you are thinking of how to accomplish the next project, how to pay the bill for the next day, week, month or year, how to buy that new car or cloth, how to start a building project, how to……and the list is endless. Most men rarely live in the present; most men rarely stay with NOW!

The sad thing is that none is promised this moment forever and until we realize that every moment is perfect and stay with it, we might end up exiting the earth having never truly lived.

This situation is so sad that if a man does not consciously take time to think about it, then he will surely risk coming to earth and ending up not truly living in it.

Have you lost anyone dear to you before? Try to recall if they died living in the present, or lived trying to accomplish a dream in the future, which they never had the time to accomplish. Just think! Most times the latter is the case.

The truth is that in the Spirit realm, there is neither a past nor a future, all that there is, is the present, all that there Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

There is truly no past or future, we are always living in the NOW! And until we realize that and appreciate that every moment is perfect, we will never appreciate the privilege given to live the moment.

Here is the point: for billions of years, the earth kept revolving around its axis, the sun kept rising and setting, seasons kept coming and going, men kept living and dying; the truth is that for billions of years, these things kept happening without your consent or contribution yet they are perfectly upheld……for hundreds of billions of years.

Wouldn’t it be wise to for once trust that the Infinite intelligence that co-ordinates all these perfectly, without your input, is also coordinating every moment of your life perfectly this very moment - Yes! this very moment is also perfect.

Here is one consciousness any man that is aware of the source possesses. Absolute trust is a virtue that any man, who has truly identified with the source, has in abundance.

There is no past or future in the spiritual, all that there is, is now. Learn to stay with now; learn to live with now; the moment is perfect.

As you trust absolutely the Source to coordinate your life, you will receive guided actions via different modes Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

Serenity

Serenity, which is the presence of silence, rest, calmness, confidence and peace, is the inevitable product of a finished character. It is the visible evidence of a life lived in consciousness of the source. In other words, it is the visible evidence of true spiritual consciousness. It is the visible evidence of a finished character, generally referred to as righteousness, hence biblically it was written:

“And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.” …..Isaiah 32: 17

Serenity also is the inevitable effect of absolute trust in the source of all that there is. The Bible also has a verse to support that:

“Whoever enters God’s rest also ceases from his labours as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest…..” …..Heb 4: 10

Therefore serenity (the presence of all-round peace) is the ultimate fruit of consistent and holistic romance (fellowship) with the source.

The visible evidence of a finished character generally referred to as righteousness

Also the inevitable effect of absolute trust in the source of all that there is

The ultimate fruit of consistent and holistic romance (fellowship) with the source.

There is a 99% probability that the moment you decided to download this eBook, you somehow hoped spirituality, relative to making money will be explained (smile). It’s no prophecy though, 99% of the world thinks about money 99% of the time…..how carnal? (smile) Now, here is the point: money is good and not evil, and it’s okay to have it - at least have just enough, relative to your assignment on this earthly phase, and not a lot of it (smile)….I can hear some people saying “this is bullshit!” Well, I have practiced being spiritually conscious long enough to know an excess accumulation of money beyond what is needed for the work at hand, has the tendency to disrupt a man’s spiritual balance, suck him into carnality and eventually destroy him (wish I could explain further without making it lengthy, but I can’t, so let this suffice). And when I say just enough money for what he is here on earth to accomplish, it Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

Understanding Spirituality [A Guide to total alignment] by Dickson Daniel might be billions of naira, dollars, pounds, etc., but just know: spiritually, you won’t be accorded more than you need to carry out the assignment given by the Source.

The Source will always coordinate the universe in such a way to provide you with this “just enough money”

needed, and will be faithful to doing that. But the moment you start desiring more and want more money just for the sake of having money, it is the ego that is in operation and not your spirit being, hence your spiritual equilibrium with the source will be disrupted, and there is a high chance that you will be sucked into the ego (carnality) and eventually miss the mark. So learn to be contented with what the Source provides you to carry out your assignment on the earthy phase, and the more you judiciously manage that which is given, the more will the Source accord you if necessary (and most times, the Source always finds it necessary to accord you more) Spiritually you won’t be accorded more than you need to carry out the assignment given by the Source James Allen rightly wrote “The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater is his success, his influence and his power for good” . And that truth is absolute: the moment a man can attain serenity (all around peace), he can’t help but grow in success, influence and power (and I will also add health), for the Source is always successful, always influential, and always powerful to do good. Therefore, there is no disadvantage in becoming spiritually conscious; besides, that is the only way not to Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

Enter into God’s rest, cease from carnal labours and let the power of the divine for good be all that there is about your life.

After Death, What next?

And so after all the spiritual consciousness, identifying with the source, flowing with the rhythm of time, living in the now, dissociating from the ego and attaining serenity, death will come; and so after death, what next?

Well, sincerely I wouldn’t want to sell to you the idea of what I believe will be next, for I have no concrete way of justifying that more than asking you to believe until such a time, when we are no longer on this earthly phase, to verify it. I don’t want to take such stance. All I have said to you so far in previous chapters are all verifiable on earth. You just need to believe and practice what I’ve preached and in no time, the result will be visibly evident for all to see.

There is an esoteric saying that “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear”. I have appeared as a teacher to many ready students and they all can testify to the visible result of my teachings…….recently, I took a young man under and it wasn’t long before people around started testifying that he has transformed tremendously.

Now, by my own standard, that is a true testimony -

something others aside you testify to. Even the same young man sent me a text message one beautiful morning that reads:

All I have said to you so far in previous chapters are all verifiable on earth. You just need to believe and practice what I’ve preached and in no time, the result will be visibly evident for all to see The only thing I can tell you now is that spiritually, there is nothing like death. The source has neither a beginning nor an end. It exists eternally. Remember there is neither you nor the source; it is not two but just one energy.

Hence, if the source, whose fragment is who you are, cannot die, then you can never die. What we refer to, and know, as death, is the laying down of our earthly garment called flesh, and nothing more. Once we are done on this plane of existence, we will most certainly not need the flesh in the next plane we will be transiting to, hence, it’s Copyright@2016, All rights reserved.

“Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s” …..Matt 22: 21

The Caesar in this case is the earth, and the flesh belongs to it, so when the time to go on unto greater adventures comes, then it is only right to give to Caesar that which belongs to Caesar (smile)

Having a fellowship with the person of Jesus Christ isn’t a big deal at all - simply say this short prayer and mean it. Afterwards, you might want to get in touch with me (if necessary):

“Dear Jesus Christ, I believe you are the Son of the

living God and that you are Lord of the universe. I

invite you into my heart this day, come and make your

dwelling with me and reveal truth to my heart. Amen!”
